Organic Kona Red Bourbon, Natural Process, Medium Roast, 7oz whole bean

The clarity in the flavor profile of this coffee is superb. Notes of Guava, Pomelo, delicate acidity, with slight floral notes at the finish. Very rare to find red bourbons in Kona, and organic red bourbons are even harder to obtain. So we got 5lbs of this in green coffee in total. Being 100% honest, we don't even know if this will last us a week. It is a pain for growers to create natural process coffees, as the pulp is much harder to be cleaned when it is dried (hence whole fruit drying process). But the flavor transferred quite well into this bean. The medium roast is quite tropical, almost a light roast but not yet there. High elevation coffee for Kona standards, the red bourbon is slow growing and very small in size, but packs a punch of flavors.
 
This coffee is USDA certified organic and grown by our friends at Kona Rainforest Coffee. When we first saw the 5lb bag from Lit's stash of coffees, we bought it right away after we took a whiff of the green coffee. He is very kind to share this micro lot with us, that is under the condition we give him feedback on this coffee.
